Networking through Cold outreach

Networking with other people through cold outreach has been the best thing that has happened to me this year. I have learned a lot in a very short period and have become a lot more of an extrovert.

Addressing Ambiguity
My default response to every ambiguous situation is now to talk to the users or people who are already working on similar problems. This helps me validate my ideas quickly, preventing me from wasting time building something nobody wants.

Solving Complex Problems
I have also applied this approach religiously to help build new products and solve complex engineering problems. You may ask, how? Many of the problems faced by B2B SaaS companies are the same. This means that you can connect with them to brainstorm solutions for the problems they have already solved. Another awesome thing is that you can get on a call with their engineering/product team when building major features like Reporting and Access Control, to understand their tech architectures, best practices, and problems faced, and save your company a few months of product building time while making sure about the quality. It’s best to connect with companies that are 1 or 2 steps ahead of you, as they are closest to you in the journey and face very similar challenges.
